Eagle Academy Public Charter School’s mission is to build the foundation for a promising future for all students in a rich, robust learning environment that fosters creativity and problem-solving abilities. We emphasize cognitive, social, and emotional growth by engaging children as active learners in an inclusive learning environment. With two campus locations - Congress Heights Campus and Capitol Riverfront Campus - we continue to strive to bring high-quality education to all Eagle students.
Congress Heights Campus
Our flagship campus the former, McGogney School, was renamed “Eagle Academy at Congress Heights.” In 2013, we invested in design and renovations of the Wheeler Road SE location including tremendous investments in IT infrastructure and our first swimming pool for students. Our school leadership worked diligently to make progressive changes by recruiting high-performing teachers and staff to lead our students. In 2021, Aaron LeCoin was promoted to Principal of the upper grades 1-3 and Sharmel Robinson was named Principal of the lower grades PK3-K.
