Founded in 2003, Eagle Academy Public Charter School (PCS) is Washington DC’s first early childhood public charter school. Our school educates children Pre-K3 through Grade 3 residing in the District of Columbia. The rate of poverty among children who attend our school is over 72% and over 80% of our children are labeled “high risk.” We service a large number of military families.
Our success in educating these children deserves continued support. Our children have a great many needs. Because we educate the whole child in an inclusive family context, our children graduate from Eagle Academy PCS ready for the next grade, many performing at a higher grade level!
We can continue to do this through the generous support of people like you. Without your contributions, we would have to eliminate our family services and some of our child-centered programs. These are critical to our students' enrichment and individual success. Please consider making a gift and improving our youths’ lives. Below are examples of how you can make a difference:
$50 will keep supplies in our learning center activities for three year olds for one week.
$150 will send one class on a field trip for a learning activity at one of the Smithsonian Museums.
$250 will buy library books for our kindergarten class so that the kids will have books to check out and take home to read with their parents help.
$500 will provide a licensed social worker to hold one weekly family therapeutic session for one month. This has been enormously helpful in the learning development of our students.
