Eagle Academy Public Charter School, a high-performing public school located in the Blue Castle across from the Navy Yard, held another successful end of the school year performance on May 21st at the Howard University Cramton Auditorium. Approximately 1,000 parents, relatives and friends of Eagle Academy enjoyed performances by the "Soaring High Through the Arts" Before and Aftercare clubs. The almost 200 Eagle Academy students, between the ages of 3 and 7, that participated in the event delighted the audience with professionally choreographed Salsa, Ballet, Tap, Modern Dance, and African Dance. The program included a drama performance, a gymnastics performance, and a Hip Hop tribute to Michael Jackson. The night concluded with a singing performance by the students with special guest, Grammy-nominated English-American rapper Slick Rick.
