Chinese Delegation Visits Eagle Academy PCS to Observe Zula Curriculum in Action

zula_logoOn Monday February 14th, a delegation of Chinese science curriculum specialist from the R & D department of one of China’s leading education and technology conglomerates visited Eagle Academy to observe Zula’s Inquiry-Based, Hands-On Science Curriculum (Zula.com) being used by Pre-K4 through Grade 2 students. Students can choose to attend the ZULA Club that utilizes Zula’s Inquiry-Based Afterschool Science Program. The Chinese contingent is interested in Zula’s program because its unique features offer an instructional program that is different from the rote memorization educational technique currently employed in China’s educational system.

The delegation of research technologists and scientists spent the day meeting with educators, reviewing curriculum materials, observing classroom activities and interacting with the children. “The Eagle Family was excited to welcome visitors from China to observe our students using the Zula science curriculum,” said the Director of Curriculum, Kathy McKeon. “Zula Science promotes critical thinking and supports the learning of our mathematic thinkers and young authors, Prek-4 though 2nd grade.”
